A law firm in San Francisco, CA, is seeking a skilled Complex Commercial Litigation Associate Attorney with at least 2 years of experience. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in handling complex commercial litigation matters and be licensed to practice law in California.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage all aspects of complex commercial litigation cases from inception to resolution.
  • Conduct legal research, draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents.
  • Assist in deposition preparation, conduct witness interviews, and handle discovery processes.
  • Analyze and review documents, evidence, and legal filings to formulate case strategies.
  • Attend court hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and trials as necessary.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys and partners to develop litigation strategies and tactics.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and internal stakeholders.
  • Maintain organized case files and documentation in accordance with firm procedures.
  • Stay updated on legal developments and changes in case law relevant to complex commercial litigation.

Requirements:

  • JD degree from an ABA-accredited law school.
  • Admission to the California State Bar in good standing.
  • 2+ years of experience in complex commercial litigation at a law firm or similar environment.
  • Strong understanding of civil procedure, litigation tactics, and legal research methods.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational abilities.

Education and Certifications:

  • JD degree from an ABA-accredited law school.
  • Admission to the California State Bar.

Skills:

  • Proficiency in legal research tools and software.
  • Drafting legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs.
  • Conducting discovery, including depositions and witness interviews.
  • Courtroom experience and trial preparation skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.
