Associate Attorney - Workers' Compensation Defense

Job Overview:
A law firm seeks a committed Associate Attorney to join its Workers' Compensation Defense team in a fully remote capacity, available to candidates throughout Florida. This role involves managing an independent caseload while collaborating closely with a senior Partner to develop effective litigation strategies and deliver high-quality legal support to clients. Duties:

• Manage a varied caseload of Workers' Compensation defense cases.
• Work in direct collaboration with senior attorneys to formulate litigation strategies and consult with clients.
• Conduct comprehensive reviews and analyses of medical records to support case preparation.
• Draft clear and accurate legal documents, motions, and pleadings.
• Maintain consistent, proactive communication with clients to address their needs and inquiries.
• Efficiently handle tasks and responsibilities within a remote setting.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in Workers' Compensation defense.
• Strong skills in analysis, writing, and communication.
• Proficiency in reviewing medical records and drafting legal documentation.
• Juris Doctorate (JD) and active membership in the Florida Bar.
• Demonstrated capability to work autonomously in a virtual environment.

Education:

• Juris Doctorate (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Active and in good standing with the Florida Bar.

Skills:

• Excellent analytical and research capabilities for case assessment.
• Strong written and verbal communication for client and court interactions.
• Comfort with legal technology, virtual court processes, and remote collaboration tools.
• High level of self-management and discipline for working independently.
• Familiarity with remote legal work settings and procedures.
