A law firm in Houston, TX, is seeking a skilled Energy A&D Associate Attorney with significant transactional experience in Energy Acquisitions and Divestitures, particularly within upstream and midstream A&D. The ideal candidate should possess 3-6 years of relevant experience.

 

Duties:

  • Conduct due diligence reviews of energy assets involved in acquisitions and divestitures.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate various transactional documents, including purchase and sale agreements, joint venture agreements, and financing documents.
  • Provide legal advice and support on regulatory matters related to energy transactions.
  • Collaborate with other attorneys and professionals on complex energy transactions.
  • Assist with the development and implementation of strategies to optimize energy assets.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis related to energy laws and regulations.

 

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the Texas State Bar or eligibility for admission via reciprocity.
  • 3-6 years of experience in Energy Acquisitions and Divestitures, preferably within a law firm environment.
  • Strong understanding of energy industry practices, including upstream and midstream operations.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize deadlines effectively.
  • Demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

 

Education:

Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

 

Certifications:

Admission to the Texas State Bar or eligibility for admission via reciprocity.
