Attorney for civil litigation firm

A law firm seeks a Civil Litigation Attorney to join its team, with opportunities available at the associate and partner levels. This position offers the chance to work on highly complex litigation cases across various practice areas, including product liability, professional liability, and medical malpractice. While the firm has offices in Green Bay and Madison, the position allows for remote work depending on geographic location. Occasional travel within the U.S. for depositions, court hearings, and trials is required.

Duties:

• Handle complex civil litigation matters, including product liability, professional liability, and medical malpractice cases.
• Conduct depositions, attend court hearings, and participate in trials.
• Draft and review legal documents such as pleadings, motions, and discovery responses.
• Collaborate with legal teams to develop case strategies and manage litigation processes.
• Maintain client communication and provide legal counsel on case developments.
• Travel occasionally for depositions, hearings, and trials within the U.S.

Requirements:

• Licensed and in good standing with the State Bar of Wisconsin, or eligible to waive in upon accepting the position.
• 3+ years of civil litigation experience preferred, but not required.
• Strong legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills.
• Ability to manage complex cases and work collaboratively with a team.
• Willingness to travel for court proceedings and depositions.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Admission to the Wisconsin State Bar (required or eligible for waiver).
