Job Overview:
A well-established law firm in Central Suffolk is seeking a motivated attorney to join its team. This position offers significant advancement opportunities for an experienced attorney with at least five years of practice. The firm handles a variety of practice areas, including commercial litigation, transactional work, commercial collections, bankruptcy, foreclosure, and real estate. Experience in other practice areas will be considered a plus. The ideal candidate will have excellent writing skills and the ability to work independently. Location:

Duties:

  • Handle cases across multiple practice areas including commercial litigation, transactional work, commercial collections, bankruptcy, foreclosure, and real estate

  • Manage client relationships and provide strategic legal counsel

  • Draft and review legal documents including contracts, pleadings, motions, and discovery

  • Attend court hearings, depositions, and mediations

  • Participate in negotiations and settlement discussions

  • Collaborate with team members and clients to ensure high-quality legal services

Requirements:

  • At least 5 years of experience in commercial litigation and/or real estate law

  • Experience in other practice areas (e.g., bankruptcy, foreclosure, transactional work) is a plus

  • Strong writing skills and attention to detail

  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple cases

  • Must be a self-starter with a proactive approach to work

  • Proven ability to manage client relationships and provide strategic advice

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

  • Active bar license
