The position is ideal for an attorney with 0-5 years of experience, including those with prior experience representing plaintiffs or defendants in personal injury, medical malpractice, or nursing home neglect cases, who is eager to take on responsibilities and try cases.

Location:

  • Wilmington, DE

Duties:

  • Handle personal injury, medical malpractice, and nursing home neglect cases
  • Represent clients in litigation matters from start to finish
  • Participate in case strategy meetings and trial preparation
  • Draft and file legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and discovery
  • Take depositions and handle court appearances
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys on case management and trial strategy

Requirements:

  • 0-5 years of legal experience
  • Prior experience in personal injury, medical malpractice, or nursing home neglect litigation preferred
  • Delaware Bar license or eligibility to take the Delaware Bar Exam
  • Ability to manage cases independently
  • Interest in trial work and representing clients in court

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school

Certifications:

  • Delaware Bar license or intention to take the Delaware Bar Exam

Skills:

  • Strong research, writing, and oral communication skills
  • Experience with litigation procedures, including drafting pleadings and conducting depositions
