This full-time role involves taking charge of the full litigation lifecycle from intake and strategy to resolution advocating on behalf of injured workers and ensuring they receive entitled benefits. The ideal candidate brings a strategic mindset, legal agility, and a client-centered approach to resolving complex compensation matters.

Duties:

  • Assess incoming cases to determine legal merit and case potential

  • Represent clients through all phases of administrative and courtroom proceedings

  • Advise clients on legal rights, treatment plans, and compensation options

  • Draft and review legal filings, correspondence, and settlement documentation

  • Negotiate favorable resolutions, including mediation and settlement discussions

  • Manage a high-volume caseload independently from initiation to closure

  • Maintain frequent communication with clients, experts, and stakeholders

  • Collaborate with legal support teams and paralegals to drive case progress

Requirements:

  • Active license and good standing with the Florida Bar

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience handling Workers’ Compensation cases (either claimant or defense)

  • Demonstrated proficiency in managing litigation autonomously

  • Familiarity with case management systems (e.g., Litify or similar platforms)

  • Comfortable working in an office-based setting and interfacing with clients directly

  • Strong written and verbal advocacy skills

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school

Certifications:

  • Florida Bar admission required

  • Additional legal certifications related to workers’ compensation law are a plus

Skills:

  • Expert knowledge of Florida Workers’ Compensation law
