Duties:

  • Focus primarily on small business matters, with an emphasis on generational family businesses and farms
  • Manage estate planning and settlement, entity formation, corporate transactions, and real estate transactions
  • Split work time between the Stevens Point and Wisconsin Rapids offices
  • Collaborate closely with clients and senior attorneys to provide effective legal solutions
  • Participate in mentoring and professional development activities
  • Utilize modern legal technology and document automation software

Requirements:

  • Experience living and/or working in central Wisconsin is preferred
  • Background or aptitude for business-related work, such as a business undergraduate degree, prior experience with business clients, or entrepreneurial experience prior to law school
  • Strong interest in small business law and family-owned businesses
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
  • Bachelor’s degree (preferred)

Certifications:

  • Licensed to practice law in Wisconsin (or ability to obtain licensure)

Skills:

  • Strong legal research and writing abilities
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and clients effectively
