A law firm in New York City is seeking an experienced Immigration Attorney with a strong background in employment-based cases. The ideal candidate will demonstrate expertise in labor certifications, EB-1 petitions, nonimmigrant visa petitions, and J-1 waiver applications, coupled with exceptional writing skills, client service acumen, and proficient case management abilities.

Job Duties:

  • Handle a diverse caseload primarily focused on employment-based immigration matters.
  • Prepare and file various immigration petitions, including H-1B, L-1, O-1, and EB-1 petitions.
  • Manage PERM labor certification process and oversee related recruitment efforts.
  • Assist clients with J-1 waiver applications and other complex immigration issues.
  • Conduct legal research, draft legal memoranda, and provide strategic immigration advice.
  • Represent clients at USCIS interviews, immigration court proceedings, and appellate hearings.
  • Maintain accurate case records and ensure compliance with all relevant immigration laws and regulations.
  • Collaborate effectively with clients, colleagues, and external stakeholders.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the New York State Bar.
  • Minimum of 3-10 years of experience practicing immigration law, with a focus on employment-based immigration preferred.
  • Proven track record of success in handling complex immigration cases.
  • Excellent writing skills with the ability to draft persuasive legal documents.
  • Strong client service orientation and ability to effectively communicate with diverse clients.
  • Proficiency in case management and ability to handle multiple cases simultaneously.

Education and Certifications:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the New York State Bar.
