A law firm in San Antonio, TX, is seeking an experienced Plaintiff Trial Attorney to join their dynamic legal team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in plaintiff personal injury trials and be skilled in conducting depositions, including those involving corporate defendants, liability and damage experts, and medical experts. Duties:

  • Serve as first chair in plaintiff personal injury trials
  • Conduct depositions of corporate defendants, liability and damage experts, and medical experts
  • Develop case strategies and provide expert legal counsel to clients
  • Prepare and file legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs
  • Represent clients in court, mediation, and arbitration proceedings
  • Collaborate with legal teams to gather and analyze evidence
  • Negotiate settlements on behalf of clients
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant laws and regulations
  • Mentor and support junior attorneys and paralegals
  • Participate in firm meetings and contribute to case discussions

 

Requirements:

  • Must have significant first chair plaintiff personal injury trial experience
  • Extensive deposition experience, particularly with corporate defendants, liability and damage experts, and medical experts
  • Strong litigation skills, including case strategy development and courtroom representation
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong research and analytical abilities
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills
  • Commitment to client service and ethical legal practice

 

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
  • Must be licensed to practice law in the state of Texas

 

Certifications:

  • Board Certification in Personal Injury Trial Law (preferred)
  • Membership in relevant professional organizations (e.g., Texas Trial Lawyers Association)

 

Skills:

  • In-depth understanding of personal injury law and trial procedures
  • Proficient in legal research tools and case management software
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Effective problem-solving and critical thinking abilities
  • Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines simultaneously
  • Strong client relationship management skills
