Duties

  • Conduct thorough reviews of title searches for residential properties.
  • Examine legal documents to ensure compliance with North Carolina/South Carolina laws.
  • Prepare both preliminary and final title opinions.
  • Oversee residential real estate closings involving buyers, sellers, and lenders.
  • Provide legal counsel and advice to clients throughout transactions.
  • Perform additional duties related to real estate law as assigned.

Requirements

  • Licensed to practice law in North Carolina or South Carolina (preference for candidates licensed in both states).
  • Minimum of 1+ years of experience in residential real estate law (preferred).
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple transactions simultaneously.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Active North Carolina or South Carolina Bar license required (both states preferred).
