A law firm seeks an experienced and motivated Attorney to join its remote team based in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. This full-time position offers an excellent opportunity for a qualified attorney with a strong background in construction law to manage case files, develop legal strategies, and collaborate with clients and legal teams. The ideal candidate will have a focus on client communication, case management, and a strong drive to support the supervising attorney in achieving optimal legal outcomes.

Duties

  • Maintain a target of 35 billable hours per week
  • Collaborate with the supervising attorney and support staff, including paralegals and legal assistants
  • Research legal issues, draft pleadings, motions, and other legal documents
  • Ensure compliance with statutory deadlines
  • Attend and participate in hearings, mediations, trials, and arbitrations as needed
  • Assist in maintaining effective client relationships through regular communication
  • Prepare for and participate in strategy meetings with the supervising attorney
  • Stay updated on case developments, including court hearings, deadlines, and trial preparations
  • Evaluate cases continuously to ensure the best legal strategy for clients
  • Maintain knowledge of legal developments and complete required continuing legal education

Requirements

  • 4–7 years of experience practicing law
  • Active license to practice law in Texas or membership in the State Bar of Texas
  • Proven ability to manage and prioritize tasks efficiently
  • Strong research, writing, and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or equivalent software
  • Experience with remote work is a plus
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Juris Doctor (JD) or equivalent from an accredited law school

Certifications

  • Active Texas Bar license
