A law firm seeks a talented associate attorney with 3 to 5 years of experience in commercial real estate and/or commercial real estate finance to join its Real Estate Practice Group. The ideal candidate will be part of a collaborative legal team handling complex transactions and financing matters in the commercial real estate sector. This position offers the opportunity to work with clients on high-profile projects in a professional and dynamic environment.

Duties:

  • Provide legal counsel on commercial real estate transactions, including acquisitions, dispositions, and leasing.
  • Handle real estate finance matters, representing lenders and borrowers in financing deals.
  • Draft and negotiate agreements, including purchase agreements, leases, loan documents, and other real estate-related contracts.
  • Assist clients in navigating title and zoning issues, due diligence, and regulatory compliance.
  • Collaborate with clients, colleagues, and other parties to structure and close real estate transactions.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis on real estate law and related regulations.
  • Participate in business development efforts, maintaining and expanding client relationships.

Requirements:

  • 3 to 5 years of experience in commercial real estate transactions and/or real estate finance.
  • Strong understanding of commercial real estate law, including finance, development, and leasing.
  • Excellent legal research, drafting, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and work effectively under deadlines.
  • Strong interpersonal skills for working with clients and team members.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Licensed to practice law in Ohio, in good standing.

Skills:

  • Proficiency in real estate contract drafting and negotiations.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team-oriented environment.
