Job Overview:
A prestigious law firm is seeking a senior associate with 5+ years of experience in Capital Markets and Structured Finance to join its team in the Charlotte, NC office. The ideal candidate will have substantial experience in Repo, Asset Backed Lending, Loan on Loan, securitization, structured finance, structured products, and corporate or real estate transactions. Experience with CRE CLOs is a plus, though not required. This is an excellent opportunity to work with a high-performing team on complex and cutting-edge matters.

Location:

  • Charlotte, NC

Duties:

  • Provide legal support in complex capital markets and structured finance transactions
  • Work on matters related to Repo, Asset Backed Lending, Loan on Loan, securitization, and structured finance
  • Advise clients on structured products, corporate finance, and real estate transactions
  • Draft and review legal documentation for transactions
  • Manage client relationships and provide strategic advice on financial and transactional matters
  • Collaborate with cross-practice teams to deliver innovative legal solutions
  • Stay up to date with industry trends and regulatory changes in capital markets and structured finance
  • Supervise and mentor junior associates, providing guidance and feedback

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in capital markets and structured finance law, including Repo, Asset Backed Lending, Loan on Loan, securitization, structured products, and corporate or real estate matters
  • Strong academic credentials and solid law firm work experience
  • Demonstrated expertise in managing complex legal transactions
  • Excellent communication and client relationship skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Experience with CRE CLOs is a plus, but not required

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

  • Admission to the Bar in North Carolina (or eligibility for reciprocity)

Skills:

  • Strong understanding of capital markets and structured finance transactions
  • Excellent drafting, research, and analytical skills
  • Ability to manage complex deals and provide practical legal advice
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to balance competing priorities
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
