Litigation Associate Attorney

Job Overview:

A law firm in Destin, FL, is seeking a skilled Litigation Associate Attorney to join its team. This position offers an opportunity to work on a diverse caseload and engage in all aspects of litigation, from document preparation to trial participation. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in litigation, strong research and writing skills, and a proven track record of managing complex cases.

Duties:

• Draft and prepare legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and discovery responses.
• Conduct thorough legal research to support case progression and management.
• Participate in depositions, hearings, and trials.
• Communicate effectively with clients, providing timely updates on case progress.
• Collaborate with colleagues to strategize and execute case objectives.
• Prepare and present legal arguments and evidence in court.
• Manage case files and documentation with attention to detail.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
• Licensed to practice law in Florida or qualified to obtain licensure by reciprocity.
• 3-5 years of experience in litigation, with a preference for experience in complex civil cases.
• Prior experience with depositions and trials is highly advantageous.
• Federal or state clerkship experience is desirable.
