Job Overview

A prominent law firm is seeking a Real Estate Transactional Associate with 3-6 years of experience to join its Real Estate & Commercial Development Practice Group. This role involves working on complex commercial real estate transactions, including acquisitions, development, financing, leasing, and dispositions. The position offers an opportunity to engage in sophisticated legal work within a collaborative environment.

Location

Duties

  • Handle commercial real estate transactions, including acquisitions, sales, leasing, and development.

  • Draft and negotiate purchase and sale agreements, easement agreements, and restrictive covenants.

  • Negotiate loan documents for construction and permanent financing.

  • Provide legal counsel on land use, zoning, and regulatory compliance matters.

  • Represent developers, investors, landlords, lenders, and tenants in a variety of real estate transactions.

  • Work closely with clients and internal teams to structure and execute complex deals.

Requirements

  • 3-6 years of experience in commercial real estate law.

  • Strong background in real estate acquisition, development, financing, leasing, and disposition.

  • Excellent drafting and negotiation skills for complex agreements.

  • Prior experience in a sophisticated law firm practice is preferred.

  • Strong academic credentials.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Admission to the North Carolina State Bar is required.
