Job Overview:
A well-regarded law firm is seeking a dedicated Workers' Compensation Attorney to join its team. This full-time position involves representing clients who have suffered workplace injuries, helping them navigate the legal process to secure fair compensation. The role requires strong advocacy and negotiation skills to effectively represent clients in workers' compensation cases.

Location:

  • Denver, Colorado

Duties:

  • Advocate on behalf of clients in workers' compensation cases to ensure their rights are upheld throughout the legal process.
  • Draft, review, and file legal documents, including petitions, motions, and briefs, ensuring accuracy and compliance with court protocols.
  • Conduct negotiations with insurance companies, employers, and opposing counsel to achieve fair settlements.
  • Present evidence and witness testimony during hearings and trials to support clients' claims.
  • Provide legal counsel to clients on their rights, options, and the potential outcomes of their cases.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships through exceptional service and regular communication.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Active license to practice law in Colorado.
  • At least 1 year of experience in workers' compensation law is preferred but not required.
  • Strong knowledge of workers' compensation laws and regulations.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited institution.

Certifications:

  • Licensed to practice law in the state of Colorado.

Skills:

  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with clients, staff, and opposing counsel.
  • Proficiency in negotiating settlements and managing legal processes.
