Job Overview:
A law firm based in California is seeking an experienced Labor and Employment Attorney to join their team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in employment law, litigation, and client management, with an emphasis on defending clients in employment-related disputes. Duties:

• Provide legal counsel on a variety of labor and employment matters, including compliance with federal and state employment laws
• Defend clients in employment litigation, including class action/PAGA cases
• Manage discovery, depositions, and preparation for trial
• Build and maintain strong client relationships, offering high-quality legal services
• Advise clients on California-specific labor and employment regulations
• Represent clients at hearings and trials, as needed
• Collaborate with team members to develop strategies and meet client needs

Requirements:

• 2-6 years of experience in Labor and Employment Law
• Experience with employment litigation, preferably from the defense side
• Proficiency in managing written discovery and preparing for depositions
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
• Ability to excel in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
• Proven track record of building client relationships
• Solid understanding of federal and state employment laws and regulations
• Licensed to practice law in California, in good standing
• Based in California (remote work option available)

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
