Job Overview: A law firm in San Francisco is seeking a skilled Labor And Employment Attorney to join team. The ideal candidate will provide expert legal advice on labor and employment matters, ensuring compliance with municipal, state, and federal regulations while representing clients in litigation and transactional contexts.

  • Duties:

    • Advise clients on municipal, state, and federal regulations to mitigate litigation risks.
    • Handle employee relations, severance, and separation matters.
    • Prepare companies for financing rounds, mergers, acquisitions, and IPOs from a labor and employment perspective.
    • Represent clients in early-stage litigation involving discrimination, harassment, wrongful termination, retaliation, disability accommodation, and wage-and-hour disputes.
  • Requirements:

    • Minimum 7 years of experience at a national or regional law firm or in-house with a reputable company.
    • Graduated from a top-tier law school or possess a demonstrated excellent and sustained reputation in the industry.
    • Interest in maintaining autonomy over their practice while collaborating with attorneys across various practice areas.
    • Desire to work with high-profile clients, leveraging firm support and network while enjoying individual economic benefits.
  • Education and Certifications:

    • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
    • Admission to the California State Bar (active and in good standing).
  • Skills:

    • Excellent understanding of labor and employment law, including litigation and transactional experience.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Effective communication and negotiation abilities.
    • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
