A law firm seeks a mid-level litigation associate with at least 3 years of relevant experience to join its litigation team. This position offers an opportunity to work on a diverse range of cases with a focus on courtroom appearances and advocacy. The ideal candidate will have strong writing and analytical skills, with a passion for litigation and client service.

Duties

  • Represent clients in litigation matters, including pre-trial, trial, and post-trial stages.
  • Prepare legal documents, including pleadings, motions, briefs, and discovery materials.
  • Handle case management and participate in case strategy development.
  • Attend hearings, depositions, and trials, providing effective advocacy in court.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, providing clear communication and updates on case progress.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys on complex litigation matters and strategic decision-making.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in litigation.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple cases and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Desire to handle court appearances and client interactions.
  • A license to practice law in the state of Ohio (or ability to obtain).

Education

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Admission to the Ohio Bar (or eligibility to become admitted).
