A highly respected and growing law firm is seeking a skilled Associate Attorney with experience in general liability defense to join its litigation team in the Iselin/Woodbridge, New Jersey area. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of relevant litigation experience and a demonstrated ability to manage a fast-paced caseload involving complex liability claims. Location

Duties

• Handle litigation matters from inception through resolution

• Manage cases involving:

  • Commercial motor vehicle defense

  • UM/UIM claims

  • Premises liability

  • Construction accidents

  • Product liability

• Draft legal pleadings, motions, discovery, and case evaluations

• Represent clients in court proceedings, depositions, and mediations

• Develop litigation strategies and manage case timelines and deadlines

• Collaborate with legal team members and clients to provide high-quality legal service

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of litigation experience

• Experience in general liability defense strongly preferred

• Trial experience is a plus

• Must be detail-oriented, organized, and capable of managing high-volume caseloads

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team setting

• Strong legal writing and verbal communication skills

Education

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an ABA-accredited law school

• Active and in good standing with the New Jersey State Bar
