Job Overview
A law firm seeks an experienced and strategic Senior Associate Attorney to provide legal counsel on depository, payments, and cash management matters. This role involves preparing deposit account and cash management documentation and advising financial institutions on regulatory compliance. The ideal candidate will have expertise in banking and financial services law, with a preference for knowledge in federal and state data security and data breach regulations.

Duties

• Provide legal representation to financial institutions on depository, payments, and cash management matters.

• Draft and review deposit account and cash management documentation.

• Offer legal guidance on payment processing, cash management systems, and financial services regulations.

• Stay informed on federal and state laws related to data security and data breaches.

• Handle multiple legal matters with precision, strategic insight, and efficiency.

• Work closely with clients to identify and resolve complex legal challenges.

Requirements

• Minimum of 4 years of experience in banking and financial services law, specifically in payments, depository, and cash management.

• Familiarity with federal and state data security and data breach laws (preferred).

• Strong ability to manage multiple legal issues and deadlines effectively.

• Sharp analytical and strategic problem-solving skills.

• Excellent academic background.

• Active membership with the New York State Bar (Required).

Education

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Active admission to the New York State Bar (Required).

• In-depth knowledge of depository, payments, and cash management laws and practices.

• Strong drafting and negotiation skills for financial services documentation.
