Job Title: Entry-Level Immigration Attorney

Job Overview: A highly respected law firm in San Antonio, TX is seeking a passionate and committed Entry-Level Immigration Attorney. This role provides an exceptional opportunity for professional growth, working closely with a dynamic team of attorneys and legal assistants. The selected candidate will play an essential role in managing a caseload, interacting with clients, and assisting in the preparation and presentation of immigration-related cases, with a focus on removal defense and family-based immigration petitions.

Duties:

  • Provide clear and strategic immigration solutions to clients.
  • Represent both detained and non-detained individuals in removal proceedings before Immigration Courts and the Board of Immigration Appeals.
  • Conduct intake interviews with detained individuals at detention centers.
  • Manage and handle a caseload of diverse immigration matters.
  • Prepare immigration applications, including removal defense and family-based petitions.
  • Review and adjust immigration applications as needed.
  • Collaborate with law enforcement, prosecutorial offices, and community-based organizations regarding immigration law changes.
  • Conduct strategic consultations with potential clients and provide legal guidance.
  • Develop strategies and prepare clients and witnesses for court and USCIS testimony.
  • Submit legal briefs and conduct legal analysis to determine potential case benefits.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in immigration law.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a team, collaborating with associates and legal staff.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage and progress legal cases independently.
  • Experience in Family-Based Petitions, Humanitarian cases, EOIR, Detained clients, Citizenship, and other USCIS applications.
  • Familiarity with case management software is preferred.

Education:

  • Admitted attorney with a license to practice law in the United States.

Certifications:

  • Active Bar membership in good standing.

Skills:

  • Bilingual in English and Spanish is preferred but not required.
  • Strong legal research, writing, and advocacy skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while handling multiple tasks.
