Associate Attorney needed for Sunrise office

Job Overview:

A respected AV-rated construction litigation firm is seeking an Insurance Defense/Commercial Litigation Associate Attorney to join its well-established defense team in Sunrise, Florida. This position offers an excellent opportunity for a motivated attorney to handle all stages of litigation with minimal supervision, working on challenging and complex cases. Ideal candidates will have 1-3 years of civil litigation experience, particularly in construction, insurance defense, or commercial litigation.

Location:

• Sunrise, FL

Duties:

• Handle all stages of litigation, including case management, motion practice, discovery, depositions, and trial preparation.
• Represent clients in insurance defense, construction, and commercial litigation matters.
• Draft and respond to motions, briefs, and other legal documents.
• Manage a caseload with minimal supervision while meeting deadlines and maintaining high-quality work.
• Collaborate with senior attorneys and support staff to develop strategies and case resolutions.
• Attend hearings, depositions, mediations, and trials as required.

Requirements:

• 1-3 years of civil litigation experience, with a preference for insurance defense, construction, or commercial litigation.
• Valid Florida Bar License in good standing.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to manage a caseload independently and work efficiently under pressure.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Education:

• Juris Doctorate (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Active Florida Bar membership in good standing.

Skills:

• Legal research and writing.
• Strong litigation skills and familiarity with courtroom procedures.
• Proficiency in case management and legal document drafting.
