A law firm in Austin, TX, is seeking a Trial and Global Disputes Associate Attorney with 4-5 years of experience to support a commercial litigation practice, with a focus on large-scale, global construction and energy disputes. The ideal candidate will have complex litigation experience at a large law firm or civil litigation boutique and a strong interest in construction and energy disputes. Strong academic credentials, excellent written and oral advocacy skills, and Texas Bar admission (or eligibility for the next exam) are essential. While a background in construction, engineering, or architectural projects is a plus, a willingness to learn about these areas is sufficient.

Duties:

  • Provide legal support for a commercial litigation practice, particularly in the areas of large-scale, global construction and energy disputes.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis on complex litigation matters.
  • Draft, review, and file legal documents and pleadings.
  • Represent clients in court proceedings, hearings, and negotiations.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys to develop and execute case strategies.
  • Maintain accurate case records and documentation.
  • Assist in managing all aspects of the litigation process.

Requirements:

  • 4-5 years of legal experience with a focus on complex litigation.
  • Texas Bar admission or eligibility for the next exam.
  • Strong academic credentials.
  • Excellent written and oral advocacy skills.
  • Previous experience in a large law firm or civil litigation boutique.
  • A strong interest in construction and energy disputes.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
