A law firm seeks a skilled and experienced Personal Injury Litigation Attorney to join their team in Glendale, CA. This position offers an opportunity to work on a variety of personal injury cases, from drafting motions and pleadings to trial preparation. The ideal candidate will have strong legal research and writing abilities, a solid understanding of California law, and the ability to manage litigation cases efficiently. Duties

  • Draft and respond to legal documents, including complaints, motions, discovery responses, and motions for summary judgment.
  • Prepare clear, concise memoranda with legal recommendations for the firm.
  • Argue motions, including motions to strike, compel responses, consolidate, dismiss, amend, and vacate.
  • Handle litigation tasks from filing pleadings to managing discovery and motions.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement best practices and operational improvements.
  • Communicate directly with clients, discussing case strategies, options, and solutions.
  • Maintain organized records of cases and projects to ensure timely and effective completion.
  • Assist in evaluating case progress and outcomes, offering insights to support client decisions.

Requirements

  • Law degree from an accredited law school with excellent academic credentials.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in personal injury litigation.
  • Strong persuasive writing and analytical skills, with the ability to perform under tight deadlines and manage multiple tasks.
  • Experience drafting briefs, responding to discovery requests, taking and defending depositions, and motion work.
  • Prior experience with trial preparation is a plus but not required.
  • Familiarity with California law and legal practices, rules, and procedures.
  • Strong legal research and writing skills, including the proper use of citations and formats.
  • Active California State Bar membership (required).

Education

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Valid California State Bar license (required).
