Associate Attorney with 1-3 years of experience

A law firm seeks an associate attorney with 1-3 years of experience to join its New York office. The ideal candidate will handle a wide range of cases in both Federal and State courts, gaining hands-on experience in a collaborative and mentoring environment. Duties:

• Manage and litigate civil cases in Federal and State courts.
• Draft pleadings, motions, and other legal documents with precision and clarity.
• Conduct legal research using Lexis-Nexis and Westlaw to support case strategy.
• Attend court hearings, depositions, and other legal proceedings.
• Collaborate with senior attorneys and clients to develop case strategies.
• Maintain case files and manage all aspects of litigation, from discovery to trial.

Requirements:

• 1-3+ years of civil litigation experience.
• Strong legal writing and communication skills.
• Experience with case management and litigation procedures.
• Demonstrated ability to conduct legal research effectively.
• Organizational skills to manage multiple cases and deadlines.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Licensed to practice law in New York, or pending admission.

Skills:

• Proficiency in legal research using platforms such as Lexis-Nexis and Westlaw.
• Strong drafting and oral advocacy skills.
• Ability to work in a team environment while independently managing cases.
• Attention to detail and organizational expertise.
