Job Overview:
A law firm is seeking an experienced Commercial Contracts Attorney to join its Business Group. This position offers the opportunity to work with both small and large business clients in various industry sectors, providing valuable experience across the firm’s six offices. The ideal candidate will have significant experience in the consumer goods and/or consumer products industry, focusing on Manufacturing Agreements, Distribution Agreements, Sales Broker Agreements, Raw Material Supply Agreements, Packaging Supply Agreements, Equipment Leases, Equipment Purchase Agreements, and Product Purchase and Sale/Supply Agreements. A portable book of business is required for this position.

Location:

  • Seattle, WA

Duties:

  • Draft, negotiate, and review commercial contracts across various industries
  • Work with both small and large business clients in the consumer goods and/or consumer products sectors
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients
  • Collaborate with attorneys across six offices to deliver legal solutions
  • Provide strategic advice related to contract law, risk management, and business operations
  • Manage multiple client projects simultaneously
  • Contribute to pro bono and public service matters

Requirements:

  • 7+ years of experience in drafting, negotiating, and reviewing commercial contracts
  • Strong understanding of contract law, risk management, and cross-industry collaboration
  • A portable book of business required
  • JD from an ABA-accredited law school and licensed to practice law
  • Strong academic credentials with excellent analytical and writing skills
  • Client-service oriented with exceptional communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a diverse team
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage significant individual responsibilities

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school

Certifications:

  • Must be licensed to practice law

Skills:

  • Strong drafting and negotiating skills
  • In-depth understanding of contract law and risk management
  • Excellent communication and client-service skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects at once
