Mass Tort Attorney

Job Overview:
A well-established law firm in Los Angeles, California is seeking an experienced Mass Tort Attorney to manage wildfire-related cases. The ideal candidate will be skilled in mass tort litigation and experienced in handling wildfire-related negligence, property damage, and other mass tort lawsuits. This role offers the opportunity to work on complex cases with a collaborative team, utilizing expert witnesses and investigators to develop strong cases. A hybrid work environment is available for this position.

Location:

Duties:

• Represent clients in wildfire-related cases, including negligence, property damage, and mass tort lawsuits.
• Manage all litigation phases, including investigations, discovery, motions, trial preparation, and post-trial proceedings.
• Collaborate with expert witnesses, investigators, and other professionals to develop case strategies.
• Draft and review legal documents such as complaints, motions, discovery requests, and settlement agreements.
• Negotiate settlements on behalf of clients.
• Stay updated on changes in wildfire-related laws, including environmental legislation, fire safety standards, and insurance law.
• Manage all aspects of a mass tort docket and assist clients in insurance claims.
• Analyze medical records and other pertinent documentation.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in mass tort/fire claim litigation.
• Proven experience in handling wildfire-related cases.
• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
• Admission to any State Bar in the United States.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to manage complex legal cases.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively within a team.

Certifications:
