Job Overview:

A mid-sized law firm is seeking an experienced Senior Associate Attorney to join its Portland, Oregon office. The ideal candidate will have five or more years of experience in real estate and business law, including transaction management, commercial leasing, entity formation, and contract drafting. Litigation experience is essential. This is a hybrid position with a focus on providing exceptional client service in both real estate and business law matters.

Location:

  • Portland, OR

Duties:

  • Provide legal counsel on real estate law, including transactions, commercial leasing, title, HOAs, CCRs, easements, and similar agreements.
  • Advise on business law matters, including entity formation, contract drafting, and corporate governance.
  • Handle litigation matters related to real estate and business law.
  • Manage cases independently and handle hourly billing and case management.
  • Build and maintain a client portfolio by bringing in new cases.
  • Draft and review contracts, agreements, and legal documents related to real estate and business law.
  • Ensure clients' legal needs are met with effective communication and timely service.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to and good standing with the Oregon State Bar.
  • 5+ years of experience in real estate and/or business law.
  • Experience in litigation is a must.
  • Strong ability to manage cases independently and bring in new business.
  • Experience with hourly billing and case management.

Education:

  • J.D. from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active Oregon State Bar membership (or eligibility for admission).

Skills:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of real estate and business law.
  • Litigation experience, with a focus on real estate and business law.
  • Ability to manage multiple cases and clients effectively.
