A law firm is seeking a Mid-Level Debt Finance Associate Attorney for their office in Short Hills, NJ.

Job Overview:

The Mid-Level Debt Finance Associate Attorney will manage upmarket bilateral, syndicated, and sponsor-backed deals for banks and private credit funds. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to provide timely, accurate, and quality work while meeting deadlines and client expectations.

Duties:

  • Effectively communicate, verbally and in writing, with clients, lawyers, business professionals, and third parties.
  • Produce deliverables, answer phone calls, and promptly reply to correspondence.
  • Provide timely, accurate, high-quality work products in debt finance transactions.
  • Foster positive work relationships and collaborate effectively with colleagues.
  • Comply with all firm policies and practices, ensuring adherence to ethical standards.
  • Engage in both physical and sedentary activities as required by the role.
  • Perform all other duties, tasks, or projects as assigned.

Requirements:

  • JD degree from an accredited law school.
  • Bar Admission in NJ.
  • 5 years of experience handling upmarket bilateral, syndicated, and sponsor-backed deals for banks and private credit funds.
  • Strong analytical and writing skills with attention to detail.
  • Good business judgment and excellent organizational skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and independently.
  • Demonstrated oral and written communication skills.
  • Research and problem-solving skills.

Education and Certifications:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
