Job Overview:

A law firm in Little Rock, AR, is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Creditor's Rights Attorney. The successful candidate will manage creditor rights cases, appear in court as necessary, and will utilize the firm’s case management and reporting software to handle assigned matters effectively. This role requires a strong understanding of consumer credit collections, state laws related to consumer collections, and the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA). The ideal candidate will demonstrate a commitment to superior client care, and proactive communication, and possess exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

Duties:

  • Actively manage assigned creditor rights matters using the Firm’s case management and reporting software.
  • Represent clients in court, including making appearances and handling related travel.
  • Advise clients on consumer credit collections and navigate state laws regarding consumer collections.
  • Ensure compliance with the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA).
  • Exhibit proactive communication with clients and stakeholders to ensure high-quality client care.
  • Collaborate with team members and other departments within the firm to support client interests and case objectives.
  • Prepare and file legal documents, and attend necessary court hearings and meetings.
  • Maintain accurate records and case documentation by firm protocols.
  • Stay updated on changes in relevant laws and regulations to provide informed legal advice.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Licensed to practice law and a member in good standing of the Arkansas State Bar.
  • Working knowledge of consumer credit collections, relevant state laws, and the FDCPA.
  • Multi-state licensure is strongly preferred.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple cases efficiently and effectively.
  • Demonstrated commitment to high standards of client care and proactive communication.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a collaborative environment.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active membership in the Arkansas State Bar (required).
  • Multi-state licensure (preferred).
