Duties:

  • Provide legal representation to clients in divorce and family law matters
  • Conduct legal research and draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and agreements
  • Attend court hearings, trials, and mediations
  • Communicate effectively with clients, colleagues, and court personnel
  • Manage and prioritize a caseload with a focus on client needs and case deadlines
  • Negotiate settlements and participate in alternative dispute resolution methods
  • Stay updated on changes in family law statutes and regulations
  • Maintain accurate case files and documentation
  • Collaborate with paralegals and support staff on case-related tasks
  • Ensure compliance with ethical standards and legal requirements

 

Requirements:

  • JD from an accredited law school
  • Licensed to practice law in Colorado with no pending or past disciplinary actions
  • 2-3 years of experience in family law; preference for candidates with 5+ years
  • Basic proficiency in computer use; willingness to learn new software systems, including Clio

 

Skills:
