A law firm in Denver, CO, is seeking a Divorce and Family Law Attorney to join their team. The ideal candidate should demonstrate effective communication skills, collaborate well with colleagues, and prioritize client satisfaction. Proficiency in legal software systems, specifically Clio, is beneficial, along with a strong background in family law.

Duties:

• Provide legal representation to clients in divorce and family law matters
• Conduct legal research and draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and agreements
• Attend court hearings, trials, and mediations
• Communicate effectively with clients, colleagues, and court personnel
• Manage and prioritize a caseload with a focus on client needs and case deadlines
• Negotiate settlements and participate in alternative dispute resolution methods
• Stay updated on changes in family law statutes and regulations
• Maintain accurate case files and documentation
• Collaborate with paralegals and support staff on case-related tasks
• Ensure compliance with ethical standards and legal requirements

Requirements:

• JD from an accredited law school
• Licensed to practice law in Colorado with no pending or past disciplinary actions
• 2-3 years of experience in family law; preference for candidates with 5+ years
• Basic proficiency in computer use; willingness to learn new software systems, including Clio
