Job Title: Public/Project Finance Associate Attorney

Job Overview:
A prestigious law firm with a strong presence across the United States is seeking a skilled and motivated Public/Project Finance Associate Attorney to join its team. This role is open in the firm’s Denver, CO office. The ideal candidate will have 2-5 years of experience in public, project, or other finance transactions. The firm’s Public and Project Finance Group handles a wide range of finance transactions including renewable energy, housing, healthcare, water/sewer systems, and education facilities, as well as numerous other private and public infrastructure projects.

The successful candidate will possess a strong foundation in finance documentation and tax equity experience. The role offers significant responsibility, with opportunities for client interaction and participation in business development and marketing initiatives.

Duties:

  • Represent clients in public and project finance transactions, including renewable energy, housing, healthcare, water/sewer, and education facilities.

  • Manage documentation and contracts related to finance transactions and tax equity.

  • Work closely with senior attorneys and clients to negotiate, draft, and close transactions.

  • Participate in client development and marketing activities.

  • Provide strategic legal guidance and collaborate with clients to address complex legal matters.

  • Foster teamwork and maintain strong professional relationships within the firm and with clients.

Requirements:

  • 2-5 years of experience in public or project finance.

  • A strong grounding in finance documentation and tax equity experience.

  • Previous experience in closing finance transactions is highly preferred.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment.

  • Bar admission in Colorado (CO), Minnesota (MN), or Pennsylvania (PA) is preferred.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active Bar license in at least one of the following jurisdictions: CO, MN, or PA.

Skills:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent writing, drafting, and negotiating abilities.

  • Familiarity with public and project finance legal issues.

  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.

  • Client-focused mindset with a desire to build long-term relationships.
