Job Overview:
A law firm seeks an experienced attorney to join their legal team in Dallas, TX. The ideal candidate will possess strong research and writing skills, the ability to manage a high caseload with minimal supervision, and a passion for delivering high-quality legal services to a diverse clientele. This role offers the opportunity to work alongside senior partners and other legal staff, with a focus on case strategy, client relations, and courtroom representation.

Duties:

  • Analyze case details and determine the best strategies and solutions to meet clients’ needs.
  • Oversee paralegals and administrative assistants in managing time records, client billing, meetings, and project completion.
  • Conduct in-depth legal research and prepare motions, pleadings, and briefs.
  • Draft legal correspondence, pleadings, motions, and briefs.
  • Represent clients in court, presenting arguments and motions during legal proceedings.

Requirements:

  • Active membership in the local bar association (preferred).
  • 2-5 years of experience representing clients in legal matters.
  • Ability to manage a heavy caseload with minimal supervision.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs.
  • Familiarity with legal research software such as Westlaw or Lexis.
  • Strong decision-making, public speaking, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active membership in the local bar association (preferred).

Skills:

  • Expertise in legal research and case strategy.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and ability to work well with clients and colleagues.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
