Job Overview: An established law firm is seeking a Senior eDiscovery Project Manager to provide strategic support to its eDiscovery and litigation teams. This role involves overseeing eDiscovery projects, managing service provider relationships, and ensuring best practices are implemented across various legal matters. The ideal candidate will have substantial experience in eDiscovery, strong project management skills, and a passion for process optimization. The position is based in Austin, Dallas, or Houston, with a hybrid work arrangement available.

Duties:

  • Manage eDiscovery projects, including timelines, deliverables, and dependencies across multiple legal teams
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to design and implement best practices for document and data management
  • Ensure the quality control and completion of work requests between legal teams and service providers
  • Develop and maintain protocols for project onboarding, reporting, and document retention
  • Monitor service provider performance and manage vendor relationships
  • Stay up-to-date on case law and industry standards related to eDiscovery
  • Identify and implement new technologies to enhance eDiscovery services
  • Support administrative tasks, including timekeeping, billing, and forecasting

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree required; JD or MBA preferred
  • 5+ years of experience in project management within a law firm or corporate legal environment, with a focus on litigation or eDiscovery
  • Certified E-Discovery Specialist (CEDS) certification preferred
  • Experience working with vendors on pricing proposals and project execution
  • Proficiency with Relativity and database management (Relativity Certified Admin preferred)
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Strong project management capabilities with the ability to work within budget and timeline constraints

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • JD or MBA preferred

Certifications:

  • Certified E-Discovery Specialist (CEDS) preferred
  • Relativity Certified Admin credentials are a plus
