Duties:

  • Manage multiple settlement teams across various departments, supervising employees at different levels.
  • Ensure compliance with state rules and regulations, including professional responsibilities related to fund distribution.
  • Draft and prepare legal documents, such as settlement agreements and minor compromises.
  • Conduct legal research to support settlement negotiations and legal strategies.
  • Collaborate with practice groups to improve processes and integrate innovative ideas.
  • Incorporate Document Generation (Doc Gen) into standard practices and procedures.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and internal team members.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an ABA-accredited law school.
  • Active license to practice law in California.
  • 5-7 years of experience in civil litigation, focusing on settlements.
  • Prior management experience preferred.
  • Proficiency in Adobe and Microsoft Office products.
  • Familiarity with E-Discovery tools and legal software like ShareFile, PACER, CaseAnywhere, Lexis, Smart Advocate, Everlaw, FileVine, and OneLegal.
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and capable of managing multiple projects under tight deadlines.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
