Job Overview:
A reputable law firm is seeking an ambitious and driven Entry-Level Immigration Attorney to join its growing legal team. The firm is looking for an attorney with a passion for immigration law and a desire to provide strategic solutions for clients navigating complex legal challenges. This position offers a fantastic opportunity for growth and development within the firm, working under the guidance of an experienced Managing Immigration Attorney. The role involves handling various immigration cases, from removal proceedings to family-based petitions, while collaborating with a dedicated team of attorneys and legal assistants.

Duties:

• Explain complex immigration concepts to clients and develop strategic solutions tailored to individual cases.
• Represent both detained and non-detained individuals in removal proceedings before the Immigration Court and Board of Immigration Appeals.
• Manage a caseload and work with clients to provide ongoing legal support throughout their cases.
• Conduct intakes and visit detained individuals at immigration detention centers.
• Prepare, review, and file various immigration applications, including family-based petitions and removal defense.
• Work with law enforcement, prosecutorial offices, and community organizations to keep abreast of changes in immigration law.
• Conduct consultations with potential clients to determine the best legal strategies.
• Prepare clients and witnesses for USCIS testimony and court proceedings.
• Draft and submit legal briefs for various immigration-related matters.
• Offer detailed legal analysis to clients regarding the strengths and potential benefits of their cases.

Requirements:

• Demonstrated interest in immigration law, ideally through law school clinics, internships, or volunteer experience.
• Juris Doctorate (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Active Bar admission (candidates awaiting admission will also be considered).
• Ability to work effectively within a team and contribute to collaborative efforts.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Proven ability to manage legal cases and move them forward efficiently.
• Experience with case management software is a plus.

Education:

• Juris Doctorate (JD) degree required.

Certifications:

• Active Bar Admission (or candidates awaiting admission).

Skills:

• Strong legal research and writing abilities.
• Excellent organizational and case management skills.
• Ability to explain legal concepts to clients in an understandable way.
• Proficiency in bilingual communication (English/Spanish) is preferred.
• High-level interpersonal skills for client interaction and team collaboration.
