A law firm seeks a Labor And Employment Associate Attorney for its Phoenix, AZ office. The successful candidate will:

Job Overview:

  • Serve as a key member of the labor and employment practice group.
  • Handle a diverse caseload involving labor and employment matters.
  • Collaborate with partners and clients to provide effective legal representation.

Duties:

  • Conduct legal research and draft memoranda, pleadings, motions, and other legal documents.
  • Assist in all aspects of litigation, including case strategy, discovery, and trial preparation.
  • Provide legal advice and counsel to clients on various labor and employment issues.
  • Represent clients in administrative proceedings, arbitrations, and mediation.
  • Stay updated on changes in labor and employment laws and regulations.

Requirements:

  • 2-6 years of experience in labor and employment law.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, writing, and analytical ability.
  • Keen attention to detail and the ability to take ownership of tasks.
  • Significant litigation experience, including day-to-day case responsibility (preferred).
  • Demonstrable substantive knowledge of Title VII, ADA, ADEA, FMLA, and similar laws.
  • Strong academic credentials from a reputable law school.
  • Member of the Arizona State Bar or willingness to become one promptly.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Admission to the Arizona State Bar.

  • Proficiency in legal research and analysis.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
