Professional Liability Attorney

Job Overview: A law firm based in San Francisco, CA, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Professional Liability Attorney. The ideal candidate will independently manage a diverse litigation caseload, handling cases from inception through resolution. This role requires frequent court appearances and depositions, and a strong background in commercial and/or civil litigation is essential. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in Professional Liability Litigation.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Independently manage a litigation caseload, from case inception through resolution.
• Conduct regular court appearances and depositions.
• Develop and implement litigation strategies tailored to each case.
• Draft and review legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs.
• Provide legal advice and counsel to clients regarding professional liability issues.
• Negotiate settlements and represent clients in alternative dispute resolution proceedings.
• Maintain detailed case records and ensure timely filing of documents.
• Collaborate with other attorneys and support staff to achieve favorable outcomes for clients.
• Stay updated on relevant laws, regulations, and case law to effectively represent clients.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school.
• Admitted to practice in California.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in commercial and/or civil litigation.
• Experience handling Professional Liability Litigation matters preferred.
• Superior academic credentials.
• Law Review/Law Journal or Moot Court experience is strongly preferred.
