Education Law Associate Attorney

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Represent clients in education law matters, including public sector regulations and labor/employment issues.
• Research legal issues and prepare detailed reports and recommendations.
• Draft and review legal documents, including briefs, pleadings, and settlement agreements.
• Prepare and deliver presentations to clients and stakeholders in court settings.
• Stay current with legal developments in education law and workplace investigations.
• Collaborate with senior attorneys and contribute to case strategy and client consultations.
• Provide training and guidance on legal compliance and best practices in workplace investigations.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience conducting workplace investigations.
• Experience in public sector law or labor/employment law.
• Admitted to the California State Bar in good standing.
• Strong academic record and demonstrated research and writing skills.
• Excellent presentation and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Desire to learn, grow, and develop within the firm.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Admitted to the California State Bar.

Skills:

• Proficient in conducting investigations and analyzing complex legal issues.
