Trademark Associate Attorney

A law firm in Louisville, KY, is seeking a Trademark Associate Attorney with 4-6 years of experience in trademark law. The ideal candidate should possess excellent academic credentials, strong writing skills, and effective communication abilities.

Job Duties:

• Conduct thorough trademark clearance searches and provide opinions on trademark availability.
• Manage trademark prosecution, including preparing and filing trademark applications.
• Provide strategic counseling to clients on trademark matters, including selection, registration, and enforcement.
• Draft and negotiate trademark licensing agreements.
• Assist in trademark enforcement actions, such as sending cease and desist letters, handling oppositions, and managing cancellations.
• Oversee the management of trademark portfolios for domestic and international clients.
• Stay updated on changes in trademark laws and regulations.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctorate (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the State Bar of Kentucky.
• 4-6 years of experience in trademark law.
• Strong academic credentials.
• Exceptional writing and communication skills.
