Job Overview:
A law firm is seeking multiple senior oil and gas attorneys to join its growing team. This position involves preparing and reviewing oil and gas title opinions, managing projects and attorneys, and providing training where necessary. The ideal candidate will have substantial experience in oil and gas title examination, along with a strong work ethic and a positive attitude. This is a full-time, remote opportunity.

Location:

  • Houston, TX

Duties:

  • Prepare and review oil and gas title opinions.

  • Manage projects and supervise attorneys working on title opinions.

  • Author title opinions and review opinions prepared by other attorneys.

  • Provide training to attorneys and paralegals on title examination and related tasks.

  • Collaborate with a team in a fast-paced environment to meet client needs.

Requirements:

  • Must be actively licensed to practice law in Texas.

  • Strong mastery of oil and gas title examination.

  • At least 4 years of experience managing projects and attorneys in relation to the preparation of title opinions.

  • Excellent communication and leadership skills to manage teams and projects.

  • Ability to draft and review title opinions as needed.

  • Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and ability to thrive in a team-centric environment.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

  • Active membership in the Texas State Bar.

Certifications:

  • Texas State Bar License (Required)

Skills:

  • Expertise in oil and gas title examination.

  • Strong management and leadership abilities.

  • Ability to draft and review complex legal opinions.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to work independently and collaborate with a team.

  • Proficiency in providing training and guidance to junior attorneys and paralegals.
