Job Overview

A prominent law firm is seeking a seasoned Workers' Compensation Partner to join its Charlotte, NC, office. This role offers an exciting opportunity for legal professionals with a strong background in workers' compensation to work in a collaborative and supportive environment. Duties

  • Conduct in-depth file review and legal analysis of workers' compensation cases
  • Undertake comprehensive legal research and draft various legal documents, including client correspondence, discovery devices, and appellate briefs
  • Meet an annual billable requirement of 1,950 hours
  • Represent clients at depositions, hearings, and trials as necessary
  • Prepare for trials, including expert witness retention and evaluation

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience in workers' compensation law; experience in additional practice areas is advantageous
  • Licensed to practice law in North Carolina (additional state admissions are a plus)
  • High level of responsiveness to client inquiries, both via phone and email
  • Demonstrated ability to self-manage and effectively work within a team

Education

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an ABA-accredited law school

Certifications

  • Admitted to the North Carolina State Bar (additional State Bar admissions are beneficial)
