This attorney will provide specialized legal counsel on various renewable energy projects, with a focus on facilities operations and power purchase agreements. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with renewable energy technologies, including wind, solar, hydroelectric, and fuel cells, as well as knowledge of smart grid technology, energy storage, and energy efficiency. A strong commitment to client service, effective interpersonal skills, and clear communication are essential. The position requires a JD degree, active Bar membership, and a portable book of business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Offer expert legal advice on renewable energy projects, encompassing wind, solar, hydroelectric, and fuel cell facilities.
  • Draft, negotiate, and manage power purchase agreements, facility operation agreements, and other related contracts.
  • Provide strategic guidance on facilities operations, regulatory compliance, and industry best practices.
  • Advise on smart grid technology, energy storage solutions, and energy efficiency initiatives.
  • Conduct thorough legal research and analysis on emerging trends and technologies in the renewable energy sector.
  • Collaborate with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams to address legal issues and support project success.
  • Manage and resolve legal disputes and challenges associated with renewable energy projects.
  • Build and maintain a portable book of business, demonstrating a strong client base in the renewable energy field.

Requirements:

  • JD degree from an accredited law school.
  • Active member in good standing of the Bar.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in renewable energy law.
  • Proven track record of a portable book of business.
  • In-depth knowledge of wind, solar, hydroelectric, and fuel cell technologies.
  • Familiarity with smart grid technology, energy storage systems, and energy efficiency.
