Job Overview:
A well-established law firm specializing in immigration law is seeking a dedicated and bilingual Junior Associate Attorney to join its legal team. This role involves representing clients in immigration court, USCIS proceedings, and waiver applications, ensuring quality legal support for individuals navigating the immigration process. The ideal candidate will be fluent in Spanish, passionate about serving immigrant communities, and able to thrive in a fast-paced legal environment.

Location:

  • Huntington Park, CA

Duties:

  • Represent clients in master calendar and merits hearings before immigration courts.
  • Attend USCIS and EOIR interviews on behalf of clients.
  • Draft and file motions to reopen, appeals to AAO, EOIR, and BIA, as well as I-601A waivers and other inadmissibility waivers.
  • Provide legal counsel and representation for clients in various immigration matters.
  • Maintain a caseload while meeting deadlines and court requirements.
  • Collaborate with other attorneys and legal staff to provide comprehensive immigration legal services.
  • Ensure meticulous case preparation and maintain organized client files.

Requirements:

  • 1 to 3 years of experience handling immigration court or USCIS cases.
  • Ability to manage a diverse caseload in a high-volume setting.
  • Strong written and oral advocacy skills.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
  • Access to a reliable vehicle and ability to travel within the Los Angeles area.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Admission to the California State Bar (preferred).

Skills:

  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) – Required.
  • Strong legal research and writing skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
  • Experience in criminal defense (preferred but not required).
