Associate Attorney needed for Las Vegas office

Job Overview:
A prominent law firm is seeking an experienced and motivated Litigation Associate Attorney to join its expanding litigation team in Las Vegas, Nevada. This position offers hands-on experience across a wide variety of litigation matters, including wrongful death, premises liability, personal injury, construction, and breach of contract/business disputes. The role provides opportunities to manage cases from inception to resolution, collaborate with experienced attorneys, and receive mentorship to advance professionally.

Location:

• Las Vegas, Nevada

Duties:

• Handle litigation cases involving wrongful death, premises liability, personal injury, construction, breach of contract/business disputes, and more.

• Manage cases from inception to resolution, including legal strategy development, research, drafting pleadings and motions, and managing discovery.

• Argue motions in court and represent clients at hearings.

• Take and defend depositions, and participate in mediations.

• Interact directly with clients and opposing counsel.

• Work independently on cases while also collaborating with a team of attorneys.

Requirements:

• 1+ years of experience in civil litigation within a law firm environment. (Newly licensed attorneys with law clerk experience are encouraged to apply.)

• Proficient in legal research, drafting pleadings, motions, and managing discovery.

• Experience in taking and defending depositions, arguing motions, and attending mediations is preferred.

• Trial experience is a plus.

• Strong communication and advocacy skills, along with a client-focused approach and a drive for successful outcomes.

• Ability to manage a caseload independently while collaborating effectively with team members.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Active membership in the State Bar of Nevada.

Skills:

• Expertise in legal research and writing.

• Strong drafting skills for pleadings, motions, and discovery.
