A law firm in Charlotte, North Carolina, is seeking a Senior Family Associate Attorney with 4+ years of experience. The ideal candidate will advise clients on ongoing litigation, develop case strategies, represent clients in court, and engage in business development activities. Family law experience and exceptional trial, negotiation, research, and communication skills are required.

 

Duties:

  • Advise clients on ongoing litigation and legal issues.
  • Research case details, evidence, and applicable law.
  • Interpret case law and decisions from relevant courts.
  • Develop case strategies, including early resolution options.
  • Prepare pleadings, separation agreements, deeds, and wills.
  • Appear in court to advocate for clients' rights and interests.
  • Represent clients in mediation, hearings, and negotiations.
  • Build trusting relationships with clients.
  • Negotiate and settle cases.
  • Conduct consultations with potential clients.
  • Engage in business development activities.
  • Meet billable hour requirements.

 

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the State Bar of North Carolina.
  • 4+ years of legal experience.
  • First-chair trial experience.
  • Experience in Family Law.
  • Exceptional trial, negotiation, research, and communication skills.

 

Education:

Graduation from an accredited law school.

 

Certifications:

Admission to the State Bar of North Carolina.
