Job Overview:
A distinguished law firm is seeking an Executive Compensation & Benefits Associate with 2-6 years of experience in executive compensation, ideally within a law firm or comparable environment. Location:

Duties:

  • Provide legal counsel on executive compensation and employee benefits matters.
  • Assist with transactional matters, including mergers, acquisitions, and restructuring.
  • Draft, negotiate, and review compensation and benefits agreements.
  • Advise clients on structuring executive compensation packages to comply with tax and securities laws.
  • Research relevant legal and regulatory developments affecting executive compensation and benefits.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to support clients on compensation-related issues.
  • Manage multiple client matters, delivering high-quality service in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements:

  • 2-6 years of experience in executive compensation and benefits, ideally in a law firm or equivalent.
  • Experience with transactional work, including mergers and acquisitions, is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of tax laws, securities laws, and other regulations related to executive compensation.
  • Ability to manage multiple complex matters and provide strategic advice to clients.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Licensed to practice law in the relevant jurisdiction (e.g., Texas or New York).

Skills:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent drafting and negotiation skills.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proven ability to work in a fast-paced and client-focused environment.
