Duties:

• Collaborate with attorneys and partners on various legal projects
• Draft pleadings, written discovery, motions, and briefs in defense of client interests
• Prepare and conduct depositions, including physician cross-examinations
• Maintain clear and timely communication with clients, providing legal advice and status updates
• Oversee the effective and efficient management of assigned cases from start to finish
• Develop and implement legal defense strategies in workers' compensation matters

Requirements:

• Minimum of 4 years of litigation experience in workers' compensation defense
• Proven experience with trial work and cross-examining medical professionals
• Ability to independently manage cases and prioritize tasks effectively
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
• Strong strategic thinking and negotiation abilities
• Familiarity with Microsoft Word, Outlook, and case management software such as TABS and Abacus is a plus

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school
